Marple Veterinary Centre

It is reassuring when going to Marple Veterinary Centre that not only is my pet important, but that I am also treated with care and concern as well; all the staff are friendly, caring and very approachable. As a pet owner it always feels as if my animal is the most important focus for them and I cannot praise enough the care that he is getting.

Vet Nicola is amazing very knowledgeable and gentle with your pet, tells you what she is doing and why. Best of all doesn’t try and get you to have unnecessary tests and make everything very expensive.

Hello, Maximus had a dental and was looked after by Lenka, Hazel and Liz, big thank you to you all and the reception team too! He was looked after from start to finish, from reception team booking him in to his post op check today, I can not fault the exceptional service I have received. I must admit I cried when I dropped him off because he has a heart problem, but I know he was looked after throughout so can not thank you all enough. He is doing great. Xx. Jane

Used this practice for 13 years but since the practice was taken over to a conglomerate, it’s fair to say it’s expensive and they try to give add ons ££, you see different vets, not good for continuity. Each vet has their own opinion, which is confusing and turns out even more expensive because you take all advice into consideration. Last year 2025 our dog of 14 took a turn for the worse. I read their website and it stated they did euthanasia at home .so I called to book this service. The reply was they don’t offer this service try somewhere else! NOT OH NO WE ARE SORRY to hear that your beloved pet is ill, we were just passed on to somewhere else, no compassion after 14 years of attending the practice! I complained, they reiterated they don’t do home visits. So I copied and pasted from their website their so called “ home euthanasia.” I then got an apology. Ever since I get regular notifications of “ we’ve not seen your pet for his vaccinations they are due”! In fact we received mail 20/3/26. So upsetting, even though they knew he had been euthanised. I would not recommend this vet.

There simply aren't the words to express how amazing these guys are. I won't name names because I don't want to forget anyone but just we want to say a massive thank you to the vets, the nurses, the receptionists and everyone who has cared for our fur babies over the years as if they're their own. Hopefully, this year's Vet of the Year award goes to them because they truly deserve every award going but, even if they don't win, the only thing that matters is that your pets couldn't be in safer or more caring hands when it matters the most. Thank you doesn't begin to cover it.

I cannot thank everyone at Marple Vets enough for the care, compassion, and kindness they showed during one of the hardest moments of my life. A very special thank you to Hannah the vet who treated my dog with such dignity and respect at the end of her life. Your professionalism and empathy towards my dog and myself, my partner and my two children meant more than I can put into words. I would also like to give a heartfelt thank you to Nicola, Although her shift had finished at 4 p.m., she chose to stay behind because she knew my dog and wanted to be there for us. That level of dedication and compassion is truly extraordinary. She supported us all through the most difficult day of our lives, and I will never forget her kindness, she showed us! Thank you as well to all the receptionists and the nurses on duty that day. You were all incredible, You created a calm, caring, and supportive environment, and made an incredibly painful experience as gentle and comforting as it possibly could be. From giving me a private space to wait in when it all got too much to showing my children genuine care, Thankyou so much. I will always be grateful for everything you did.
