*update 29/8/2025*‼️ So I thought I would give Torkington vets another try, as they could have been just having an off day or busy when I last called. It seems that I was unfortunate enough to speak to the same unhelpful receptionist as the last time, she placed me on hold for ten minutes whilst going to find the “book” for patients on the waiting list, then I was cut off. AVOID AVOID AVOID Called in January to go on the waiting list to transfer vets to here, told I would hear back from them in March this year,only to be they are very busy and to call again I explained that I was waiting to hear back from contacting them in January, clearly uninterested, unhelpful. Didn’t even check my details that I gave them about my animals. Clearly the admin staff here would rather keep me on hold that actually want to help.

I can't praise Michael Goodwin enough for the way he helped to make my Scamp comfortable in his final days. He treated scamp with absolute dignity and he clearly cares for the animals he treats. I would recommend Michael at Torkington vets for anyone who is looking for a vet who cares. Thank you so much Michael and the rest of the team.

I can't recommend Torkington Vets enough. They are a lovely team! Andy is so patient, knowledgeable and understanding and they all treat my Mal with such care. She even looks happy to go in to see them all. The veterinary nurses (she actually let one lovely angel trim her nails!!!) and reception staff are all absolutely lovely and very professional. Suka is happy and relaxed there and I trust them completely. Thank you to Andy for helping my previously skittish girlie to relax and allow them to give her the support and care that she needs.

Really pleased with the treatment my cat Ares received yesterday. He needed his booster and flea/worming and the vet we saw (I didn't catch her name unfortunately) was extremely kind and gentle with him. She was patient with me too and checked him over when I mentioned a couple of other things I was concerned with. Cost of treatment seems reasonable to previous vets we've visited. The lady on reception was really friendly too. Parking round the rear of the building. Lastly, they have a candle in the reception which is lit if an owner is having having an appointment to have their pet put to sleep, and request soft voices and respect if this is the case. I've never seen this before in vets and thought it was a lovely idea.
